Barcelona vs Paris Saint-Germain 2016/17 (6-5): The greatest comeback in Champions League history

Barcelona and PSG played the most dramatic round of 16 tie in Champions League history as Barcelona overturned a four goal deficit to advance to the Quarter-Finals of the tournament.

Barca were completely destroyed in the first leg, losing 4-0 at Parc Des Princes. A brace from Angel Di Maria, and a goal each from Julian Draxler and Edinson Cavani sealed a perfect win for the French side in what seemed like the tie was all but over.

The second leg recorded a total of 96,290 fans at the Camp Nou despite the first leg being quite a disappointment for the Spanish Champions.

Luis Suarez opened the scoring in the third minute with a header to give Barcelona early hope. Layvin Kurzawa's clumsiness led to a poor own goal and the four goal deficit being halved five minutes before the break.

Neymar was brought down by Thomas Meunier shortly into the second half and Lionel Messi converted the penalty which meant that The Blaugrana now needed just one goal to level things up.

However, their dreams came crashing down as Edinson Cavani lashed home in the 62nd minute with the score now at 3-1 (agg. 3-5). The Uruguayan striker's crucial away goal meant that Barcelona would have to score three goals in the space of 38 minutes.

The comeback seemed improbable at this point because scoring three goals against a confident PSG side was not easy.

Barcelona couldn't manage to get a goal back until the 88th minute when Neymar scored a beautiful free kick from the edge of the box into the top left corner.

Not shortly after this, it appeared that Luis Suarez was brought down inside the box by PSG defender Marquinhos. Though it somewhat seemed like a clear dive, Barcelona were awarded a penalty which Neymar calmly slotted away to bag a brace in the first minute of injury time.

In the dying moments of the game, Neymar curled in an amazing ball to substitute Sergi Roberto who just got a toe to it and there was nothing Kevin Trapp could do about it.

Camp Nou just went ballistic. The players, the managerial staff, the fans, everyone just went crazy. The scenes were just way too emotional.

Barcelona advanced to the quarter finals while PSG who were the favourites after the first leg couldn't manage to go any further than the round of 16. Can't imagine the disappointment PSG must have had.

It was an extremely special night in Barcelona and is a moment which will forever be etched in the minds of each and every Barcelona fan.
